How to find the model number of your Apple iPhone or iPad
Does your device work enough to get to Settings?
Look in Settings
Instructions apply for all devices.
Go to Settings > General > About.
To the right of Model, you'll see the part number - It starts with M.
WAIT! Tap the 'M' number to get the 'A' number we actually need
Note: Although, the Model Name is also shown, we need the Model Number to ensure we get the exact parts for your specific model as some parts may differ
I am not able to locate the model number in Settings

It will only start with the letter 'A'.

To find the model number, remove the SIM tray and look in the SIM tray slot on the phone. (Not the removed SIM card tray)
The model number is on the upper side—the side with the display
